We undertake the transfer of the ship’s registry for you.
You will need:
1. Bill of Sale with notarized signatures, endorsed by a Public Authority. If this was prepared abroad, it also requires endorsement by the Greek consular authority or endorsement with an Apostille (The Hague Convention of 1961).
2. Summary of the notary’s adjudicatory report.
3. Certificate of non-indebtedness from the Naval Provident Fund (NAT).
4. Tax status certificate of the ship from the Tax Office (valid for 45 days).
5. Declaration of the ship transfer tax (Law 1642/86) from the Tax Office (valid for 45 days).
6. Certificate of non-indebtedness from the Greek Chamber of Shipping.
7. Copy of the Government Gazette including the approved act of ship registration.
8. Certificate of “Good Standing” of the contracting companies, listing the Directors/Officials representing the company, certified by the Consular Authority or in accordance with the Hague Convention of 1961 (Apostille).
9. Board of Directors’ Minutes for the sale or purchase (by the contracting companies), certified by the Consular Authority or in accordance with the Hague Convention of 1961 (Apostille).
10. Power of Attorney for the specific transaction, certified by the Consular Authority or in accordance with the Hague Convention of 1961 (Apostille).
11. Declaration of appointment of representative-guarantor by the legal representative of the purchasing company, in four copies, with the certification of the genuine signature.
12. Declaration of acceptance of the appointment of representative-guarantor, in four copies, with the certification of the genuine signature.
13. Affidavit of the representative of the purchasing company regarding the appointment of an arbitrator and a declaration of acceptance, and of the selling company: a) that the company covers Greek interests by at least 51%. b) full details of the members of the board of directors, including name, surname, father’s name, place and year of birth, profession, address, and telephone.
14. Return of the old Certificate of Nationality and submission of a new one.
